Have you ever frozen through winter rides? Heard a rip while attempting to climb gates? Struggled to find work clothes that you felt great in?
If you’ve been personally victimized by any of these, you’re in the right place.
Your Best Clothes Belong in the Barn
At DFR, we believe in the “look good, feel good” philosophy, and that it doesn’t stop at the barn door. Just because the work isn't glamorous, doesn't mean you shouldn't be. We also know you spend the most important hours of your day battling the elements…ok and sometimes a rank heifer, and that you need clothes that are tough AND flexible.
The farming and western lifestyle are steeped in tradition - but we thought it was time barn clothes got an upgrade. Tailored fits (think adjustable straps, room for your hips, and multiple inseams), fabrics that rival athletic apparel, and details like syringe holders that you didn’t know you needed.
So consider this your permission to ride in bibs and sneakers, to feel cute even when you’re covered in manure. And dare we say, for women to have better workwear options than men?
DFR Girls
DFR girls are truly the coolest on the planet and we are constantly inspired by y’all! We’re so lucky to have such an amazing group of farmers, ag professionals, vets, riders, and coaches who believe in our brand. We love seeing what you’re working towards in your DFR bibs and get so excited seeing your new futurity prospects, cute new faces during calving and lambing season, and once in a while even an engagement while rocking your bibs!
Cowgirl Meets Farm Gal
When you think of workwear, you don't often think of girls going to the arena to ride when it's -20. When you think of turquoise, you don't often think of girls getting up to milk at 4:30 am. But there are more similarities than meet the eye. With roots in agriculture and a passion for barrel racing, DFR’s founder Michelle Durnin found herself spending a lot of time in work clothes and could never find any that were just right. DFR launched its first overalls in 2021 and has been focused on making the best barn clothes for farm and horse gals ever since.
“We all show up no matter what not-so-glamorous-job needs done. We’re all up against Mother Nature. We always put our animals first. And whether you're a farm girl or a horse girl, the barn is our favourite place to be.”
